Job Title: ​Activities/Events Coordinator

​Activities/Events Coordinator  required at Northfield House in Stroud.


​We are a warm, friendly, traditional privately owned Residential Care Home in Uplands, Stroud with a clean, safe and comfortable home from home environment.

We consider all our residents to be like a dear loved one in our own family.

Have you worked with those with dementia before? Are you available to work at least 35 hours a week over 5 days, to help enhance the mental and physical wellbeing of those in our care?
If so, we would like to hear from you!


​Duties will include:


  • ​Organising a variety of activities to suit all needs, such as games, crafts, singing & dancing, armchair exercises, gardening club etc.
  • ​Overseeing themed days plus planning for events & outings
  • ​Providing stimulation and encouragement to residents
  • ​Arranging a programme with a variety of regular entertainers
  • Working to develop links with people and organisations within our local community

​The ideal candidate will need to be:


  • ​Well organised , self motivated and enthusiastic
  • ​Able to work on own initiative and also be a good team player
  • ​Required to keep up to date with relevant documentation including record keeping, risk assessment, health and safety at work etc.
  • ​Computer literate with at least some basic IT skills
  • Full Drivers Licence would also be an advantage


Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ​£8.10 to £8.40 /hour

Job Title: ​Cleaner/General Assistant

  • ​​Clean and restock designated areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping,cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
  • ​​Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
  • Notify Assistant Manager or Registered Manager of occurring deficiencies or needsfor repairs
  • ​​Make adjustments and minor repairs
  • Report repairs to Premises Manager Stock and maintain supply rooms
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
