Easter Activity News
Steve and one of our resident’s Daphne report on our Easter highlights…
Our Easter Extravaganza at Northfield House was celebrated in Vintage style with a visit from ‘Lady She’ from ‘SheUnique’ followed by entertainment by the ever popular ‘Ian Oliver...
‘LadyShe’ came to help our residents, which included Daphne and Joan plus Steve our AC and his Fiancée and Volunteer Carol Page, make Vintage Easter Bonnets.
In the afternoon, Ian Oliver entertained us all as we joined in and sang whilst playing tambourines and shakers. This was followed by a fun indoor Easter Egg hunt plus our traditional “Grand Raffle”!
Good Friday – Hot Cross Bun’s
Your correspondent Daphne is pleased to report that Good Friday was treated as day of quiet, respectful observance of tradition.
This included some visits from families, plus the enjoyment of some peaceful time in preparation for Easter.A delicious serving of Hot Cross Buns with butter of course went down rather well!
Joan and Steve in Stitches
Reliving days of dressmaking and repairs, Joan helped Steve to tidy up a messy sewing box that our Manager Di, had been given to bring in.
Some of the objects in the box were particularly good to find. “Dorcas” pins reminded us of one of our residents Dorcas Murray who sadly is no longer with us.
In her honour we are hoping to make a dress, with the help of one of Steve’s friends, who is a Wardrobe Mistress!
